🎯 Middle Track

Based on 2025 (official) and 2026 (projected) data

• Requires at least 2 academic indicators (ELA, Math, ELPI, CCI, Science) with colors in each year. They do not need to be the same indicators each year. Otherwise Criterion 1 cannot apply and the school moves to Criterion 2

• If ALL indicators are Blue/Green for both years → High Track

• If ALL indicators are Red/Orange for both years → Low Track

Renewal Position Review

A separate, staged look at the same data from a renewal perspective: against the state, against your resident schools, then your own verified evidence.

The review runs your three most recent available Dashboard years across five academic indicators: ELA, Math, Science, English Learner Progress, and College/Career. The mechanics below reflect written clarifications from the LAUSD Charter Schools Division (July 2026).

Group level: in each year, we tally the numerically significant student groups (30 or more students, a Dashboard color) higher vs lower than the comparison point; groups matching it exactly sit out. More higher than lower passes the year. On an exact tie, including when a school has no significant subgroups, the All Students result decides.

Indicator level: an indicator passes when a majority (strictly more than half) of its available years pass. Years without data are left out of the math, never counted as a fail.

School level: a look clears when a majority (strictly more than half) of applicable indicators pass. Exactly half is not a majority: LAUSD policy applies additional analysis and a holistic evaluation when there is no clear majority, so the review labels those splits rather than calling them a fail.

ELPI note: only English Learners take the ELPAC, so ELPI's All Students row is its EL row. In practice the ELPI outcome follows the EL result: an EL and Long-Term EL split resolves in the EL direction, because EL is also the tie-breaker.

The two looks are scored separately: clearing either one on its own clears the review, and state passes are never added to resident passes. The Resident Schools Median for a student group is the median of that group's numerically significant results across the resident schools that report it.

Authorizers weigh data in their own ways and retain discretion. Treat this review as one way to understand and explain your position, never as a prediction of a renewal decision.
